It's been three years since Sridevi passed away and the Indian film industry lost its true legend. In her career span of five decades, Sridevi experimented with every kind of role from the action, drama to comedy. The late actor started her career as a child artist and continued acting without taking any break. Her first role as an adult woman was in the film Moondru Mudichu directed by K. Balachander.

While playing the role of a married woman, Sridevi was actually 13 years of age. In the film, the actor starred alongside legends Kamal Haasan who was already an established actor and then-newcomer Rajinikanth. An interesting fact about the film is that Sridevi played the role of Rajini's stepmother when she was just a teen.

Moondru Mudichu which starts as a romantic film turns into a revenge drama. In the film, Kamal and Rajinikanth are roommates and friends who are in love with Sridevi's character. However, she is in love with Kamal which doesn't go well with Rajinikanth. He kills her during a boat ride expecting that Sridevi will be his eventually.

However, to seek revenge from Rajinikanth's character, Sridevi marries his father. This makes her his stepmother which tortures Rajini mentally until he asks for forgiveness from him.

Moondru Mudichu was touted to be very much ahead of its time and all the star cast were applauded for their incredible performance. Moreover, it's being reported that Sridevi was paid more than Rajinikanth as he was relatively a newcomer back then.
