Director Ram Madhvani, is organising a screening of Neerja for one of the hijack survivors Shirin Kureshi. Shirin was in her early 20s when the incident happened and was traveling with her dance troupe for a performance. She was shot during the hijack, and now she shares first hand information on how Neerja Bhanot saved their lives without bothering about her own. Shirin says, "When I got a chance to be on the set and see the shoot, I went numb and tears started rolling down my eyes. Watching the trailer was more impactful. It hit me hard and gave me goose bumps. I am sure, all the people who have lived through this day will relive it."

When asked what does she remember about Neerja, she adds, "The first time I saw her at the airport.

She had a very striking and appealing personality, charismatic and friendly. My friends and me were talking about how beautiful she was. Initially, during the attack because of the chaos and panic we were not aware of her brave deeds. All the crew members stood by their duty and promised to put us before their own life. Later, we got to know all that she did, hats off to her!" While Shirin is eager to watch the Neerja biopic she knows that watching the film will make her relive the incident again. " It will certainly take me back in that day of my life. While it will be traumatic, there is also a deep sense of gratitude to people like Neerja for this second life I am living now."
