Homi Adajania's upcoming film, Finding Fanny, has already grabbed a lot of eyeballs, given the brilliant response to the film's official trailer. Now, in an unprecedented move of sorts, the director and the entire team have decided to do something that has never been tried before in Bollywood.
The Finding Fanny team has decided to hold a special premiere of the film on August 25, seventeen days ahead of its official release. The move brings with it a lot of risk, given the fact that people's responses might deter its growth at the box office, but this has hardly affected the team spirit. The confident team is all smiles with the movie being shown to select audiences two weeks before the release.
Fanny Fernandes is a quirky, satirical tale about five individuals, who find a meaning to their otherwise mundane lives, in the course of their relentless search for Stefanie Fernandes aka Fanny! The film, starring Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor alongside veteran actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia and Pankaj Kapur is due for release on September 12.
