When Hrithik Roshan sent out a press statement about his inability to act in Karan Johar’s Shuddhi, he informed the director. But he called one person before calling KJo. He made sure Kareena Kapoor Khan knew that he was opting out of the film. Says a source, “Duggu and Bebo go back many years and he didn’t want her to keep waiting for Shuddhi to start because of him. He sent her a message through common friends about his decision before making an announcement. Though Kareena was naturally disappointed she respects the fact that he told her first so that now she can start giving her dates away for other films. Currently she is preparing for Rohit Shetty’s Singham 2.”
