Sorry Alia Bhatt, fans feel Sonam Kapoor deserves the 'Best Actress' award more than you!

The Awards season has begun and it's raining awards for two heroines this year. Sonam Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Two of the toughest contenders for the Best Actress Award, Sonam's powerful Neerja act and Alia's daredevil Udta Punjab performance definitely stand out in the crowd. 

At Star Screen Awards this year, Sonam was completely avoided and Alia walked away with two Awards for her performances in Udta and Dear Zindagi. While we did feel that it was wrong on the organisation's part to not respect Sonam's bravehart stint, we had asked fans to vote for the heroine they felt deserved the Award more.

Fans have voted and the poll results are out! Sonam has walked away as the clear winner with around 57.69% of the votes whereas Alia raked in 42.31% of the votes. And guess what! Sonam even received the Best Actress Award at Stardust Awards yesterday. Woot woot!
