Sonu Nigam is set to put his failures behind and delve into the world of acting again. This time it will be friend Akashdeep’s film ‘Aankhon Aankhon Mein’.

His first stint as an actor might have been a disaster with critics ripping his performance apart. None of his three films did any wonders anyway.

But Sonu Nigam is set to put his failures behind and delve into the world of acting again. This time it will be friend Akashdeep’s film ‘Aankhon Aankhon Mein’.

“We have been planning to make the movie for over two years now. And I don’t want to wait anymore,” says Akashdeep, who had directed the acclaimed Manoj Bajpai starrer ‘Ghaath’.

“I think Sonu is a brilliant actor. He also such a great looking person and has such style,” he adds.

The story ‘Aankhon Aankhon Mein’ will revolve around a blind singer, to be played by Sonu. The film is supposed to go on floor latest by December. “Sonu is in the US now. We will finalise rest of the stuff like cast etc after he comes. Of course, the music will be provided by Sonu,” says Akashdeep. Incidentally, This will be the first film for which Sonu will compose music.

Sonu was last seen in a box office dud ‘Love in Nepal’. He has acted in a total of three films none of which could register any reaction from the audience. Sonu in fact had himself admitted that he would never be acting again. Akashdeep is also producing Saroj Khan’s ‘Sati’.
