Sonam Kapoor's grandmother Draupadi Hingorani Bhambani passes away!

It's been a week of one unhappy news after another. Sonam Kapoor lost her beloved Nani (aged 89) and the family is still coming to terms with the colossal loss. 

Not many know that both Sonam and Rhea were very close to their maternal grandmother, Draupadi Hingorani Bhambani, who remained a towering inspirational figure for them and the entire Kapoor family. Both the sisters expressed their grief by putting their Nani's pics on their Instagram accounts. 

The grandmother would often be present for Sonam's film screenings and even come and stay with them at their house. Family's friends recall that once the grandmother showed up at a private screening of Sonam-starrer Khoobsurat dressed impeccably chic. Clearly the great sense of style and carriage was something which the grandmother passed on to her daughter Sunita and both the granddaughters. 

Sonam tweeted, "Love you Nani, will miss you so much. Thank you for teaching me everything." In this period of grief, we share our deepest condolences with the entire Kapoor family.
