Sonam Kapoor - Fawad Khan starrer 'Khoobsurat' opens to poor response at the box office

Seems Sonam Kapoor's selfie queen avatar isn't getting her the necessary love and appreciation. After being slammed mostly for her clumsy doctor avatar in Khoobsurat by critics, one could still expect footfalls given the film's recall value given that the original was a cult film. But Sonam Kapoor's Khoobsurat did not quite live up to expectations and opened very poorly at the box office.

Khoobsurat which is the first Disney production in Bollywood did not quite wow the audiences. The film could only bring in about Rs 2.50 crore at the box office on Friday. 

Not even Sonam's mad antics and a good looking Fawad Khan could save the Khoobsurat ship from sinking. But nevertheless, there are still chances for the film to do well only if they can capitalise now.

Khoobsurat remained lower than Parineeti Chopra-Aditya Roy Kapur's Daawat-e-Ishq and it needs to pick up hugely in the weekends to ensure a decent number, at least!
