While all the contestants of Bigg Boss 7 will be part of the grand finale, Sofia Hayat has decided to stay away. Sources say that after her complaint against Armaan Kohli, which led to his arrest and subsequent bail, Sofia doesn’t want to be a part of anything that involves Armaan. Confirms Sofia, “I just got an email from the channel that I am contractually obliged to attend the finale on December 28 at 9 am in Lonavla. It is mandatory and if I don’t attend there will be monetary implications. However, I have a flight tomorrow to London so I will not be there.” Ask her the reason and she says that she has heard Armaan Kohli will be performing a skit with Salman Khan, which is why she cannot be part of the finale.
“My contract with Colors states that there will not be any violence or personal attack on me in the house. But when it happened, Bigg Boss did not protect me. If Armaan would have been out on Saturday after the incident as it was implied by Bigg Boss, I wouldn’t have gone to the police, who proved that I was beaten by Armaan. Kamya Punjabi was one of the witnesses they spoke to. If I go to the finale, I will be putting myself at risk. He may hit me again or have some guys attack me,” says Sofia. She adds that she had not charged him with sexual abuse because she did not understand what he was saying but when she saw the footage she realised that he had used sexually offensive language too. “I can’t be part of any show that allows this kind of violence and if the channel doesn’t pay me my dues there will be legal implications,” she warns.
As for the case against Armaan, her lawyers will be pursuing it in her absence. “I am going to London to celebrate New Year with my friends. I will be back in January,” she informs.
In the past, Pooja Bedi, who was part of the fifth season had given the finale a miss. There were reports about the channel refraining her from being a part of the finale because of her comments about Salman Khan favouring contestant Mahek Chahal.
