SIIMA 2016 to be held in Singapore this year!

SIIMA 2016 will see over 100 leading stars from across south India and will have a grand line up of 12 performances spread over two days.

The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) is a highly-anticipated event. It has been officially announced that the fifth edition of SIIMA will be held in Singapore this year!  Shruti Hassan, Rana Daggubati, Anirudh Ravichander and Brinda Prasad, Chairperson of SIIMA, made the announcement at a press conference in Singapore. 

Speaking about SIIMA, Shruti Hassan said, "I am so excited that SIIMA is back! It has always been one of those events that all of us in the south film industry look forward to. And with a huge following of south Indian movies in Singapore, there couldn't be a better place to celebrate SIIMA. I am sure it is going to be amazing fun meeting fans and catching up with my co- stars."

Announcing the SIIMA 2016, Prasad stated “We are in our fifth edition and excited about hosting SIIMA in Singapore. We are really proud of our association with De Ideaz and SPH and promise a brilliant spectacle this year."

The talent from the south Indian film industries will be recognised on June 30 and July 1 at Suntec Convention Centre. SIIMA annually brings together stars and technicians from the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam industries and honours them. But the event will be more than just award presentations. There will be scintillating performances, the red carpet and more.

This event is a very popular film awards show in south India which enjoys over 50% television reach across the region. SIIMA 2016 will see over 100 leading stars from across south India and will have a grand line up of 12 performances spread over two days by Anirudh Ravichander, Yash, Rakul Preet Singh, Sudheer Babu, Huma Qureshi, Usha Uthup, Neeraj Madhav, Aishwarya Rajesh, Devika, Regina and many more. 

The SIIMA awards are assessed by viewers and fans from the world over, through a unique voting mechanism. The award show has completed four successful editions.
