Shriya Saran pairs up with N Balakrishna in 'Gautamiputra Satakarni'

N Balakrishna's 100th film Gautamiputra Satakarni has been the talk of the town for the last few months. The historical drama which is being directed by Krish has now got a heroine - Shriya Saran!

There was a lot of speculation that it could be Nayanthara but it looks like Shriya Saran has been finalised and is on board. The movie will be shot in Morocco and other places, but the first schedule is over. The actress is set to join the team in the second schedule which will start when Balayya returns from the United States.

There are large-scale war scenes that will now have to be shot. These are reportedly being done by Ram-Lakshman. Hema Malini and Kabir Bedi are also part of the film. 

The movie is based on the life history of the 2nd century CE, Satavahana ruler Gautamiputra Satakarni. Rajeev Reddy is producing the film under First Frame Entertainments banner and Bibo Sreenivas is presenting the movie. The music for the film is by Devi Sri Prasad.
