Though she used a wig for the role, shortly before the film released, she chopped her long hair to a short shoulder-length bob with a side-swept fringe. What followed was a trend of sorts as a lot of actresses decided to experiment with short hair.
Freida Pinto
The Slumdog Millionaire actress joined the lob – the long bob bandwagon when she cut her hair to a gorgeous collarbone-skimming crop. Freida always styled her hair in layers and it was refreshing change to see the actress sport a short, unstructured haircut.
Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi has always wanted to cut her hair short but couldn't until recently as all her films required her to be in continuity. "The minute I knew that I didn't have a film that needed continuity, I chopped my hair to a shoulder-length bob. I love it," she had earlier said.
Nargis Fakhri
The latest actress to join the short-hair gang, Nargis opted for a lob too. Though she was recently sporting bangs, she decided to go a step further and chop her long hair to a short, sassy hair-do.
Huma Qureshi
Huma Qureshi has bid adieu to her long tresses when she opted for a short burgundy hairdo.She has added an interesting twist to her shoulder-length hair-cut with slightly longer bangs that cover her forehead.
Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra was a runway hit in the West when she sported her way, texturised short hair cut. The daring actress decided to amp it up further as she chose to keep one side of her hair longer than the other.
Anushka Sharma
Though she has always had long-hair on screen, Anushka Sharma dared to be different from she opted for a short, wavy, shoulder-length hairdo. Before she cut her hair short, she was also sporting a fringe. We like this better!
