'Shamitabh' box office collection: Amitabh Bachchan-Dhanush starrer earns Rs 13.25 crore in three days

Shamitabh starring Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan might have impressed the critics but sadly the film has not managed to garner love from the masses. At the end of the opening weekend, R Balki’s directorial has managed to earn Rs 13.25 crore only, which came as surprise to trade experts as the film was riding on good word of mouth publicity.

Trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted,” #Shamitabh Fri 3.5 cr, Sat 4.75 cr, Sun 5 cr. Total: ₹ 13.25 cr. India biz.” Though the film has picked up its business on Sunday compared to it’s opening day figures, one has to say Shamitabh ha failed to make an impact at the box office. Backed by stellar performances from Big B and Dhanush, lack of star power has lead to the lukewarm response from the audience.

With Ranbir Kapoor’s Roy releasing next week, trade pundits are not expecting a big leap in Shamitabh’s box office figures in coming days.
