Shahid pledges for MAMI

Shahid Kapoor is one of many celebs from Tinseltown to lend support to the organisers of MAMI. The future of the festival seemed bleak earlier due to lack of funds and sponsors. However, the organisers have managed to collect around 2 crore of the 5 crore needed.

Shahid tweeted his support saying, "Mumbai - the film capital of India - should boast of a worlclass film festival. Lets get together and #Pledge4MAMI."

He joins other filmmakers like Rajkumar Hirani, Hansal Mehta and Vidhu Vinod Chopra who have lent their support. An online campaign #pledge4MAMI has gone viral, and organisers are trying their best to ensure that the 16th edition of the festival takes off in he city.
