Shahid Kapoor will NOT raise daughter Misha as dad Pankaj Kapur raised him

Shahid Kapoor has always set an example of a doting husband by taking care of wife Mira Rajput. Now that he has embraced fatherhood, looks like he is all set to set new examples as a dad. Why do we say so? Well, the actor recently appeared appeared on Vogue BFFs where he opened up about his relationship with his dad, Pankaj Kapur and explained why he would like to raise his daughter Misha, a little differently from how his father raised him.

On the chat show, Shahid revealed that his father is and extremely nice person and has always been a friend to him, and hence he would want to take those things into account while raising up Misha. "But he's a bit hyper and he's a bit over-protective. So, those are the two things that I hope I don't do to my child," he added.

When asked about his father's advice to him on fatherhood, Shahid explains, ""Actually more than a piece of advice. What my dad told me was that 'Now, you will know all the complaints that I have always had against you'."

Furthermore, he said that though he spoke to his father almost everyday, he (Pankaj Kapur) has complains about not connecting with him (Shahid). Shahid shared what his father said to him after the birth of Misha, "Now you will know what it's like when you miss your child"
