India has painfully let go of sport stars before, but never before has one experienced the shock and horror that the news of Sachin Tandulkar’s retirement caused. Sachin has inspired awe and respect among millions of fans since the time he first entered the cricket field. Even those who are not fans or followers of the game, cannot deny that he is magic on the field. His journey and contribution to the game and the country cannot be measured. He is held in high esteem by men, women and kids alike. Cricket will never be the same again without him. Here’s how filmy folks will bid adieu to Sachin when he plays his last match on November 14...

Shahid Kapoor

Sachin is a legend and I am very keen to watch his last match. Not sure, if I’ll be able to go to the stadium. But, Ishaan and I are planning to watch the test series together.

Sonam Kapoor

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to watch the match as I am in Bikaner shooting for Khubsoorat.

Sohum Shah
I would love to go and see his match. Sachin has contributed a lot to the Indian cricket team and the matches he played are unforgettable. His passion and love for the sport has set high benchmarks for all players.

Sidharth Malhotra
I am a huge Sachin fan! I would love to witness his last match live. Unfortunately, I will be out of town, in the midst of a shooting schedule. But I am going to invariably catch the match.

Shraddha Kapoor

I haven’t really been a religious follower of cricket but Sachin is beyond cricket. Even under pressure, he has been consistently playing fabulous matches. There is a lot you can learn from him in life. I’m sure cricket will not be the same without him.

Vivek Oberoi

I am not in town as it’s my close cousin sister’s engagement in Bangalore so I will have to miss it. It will be sad as I am a huge cricket fan and a huge Sachin Tendulkar fan. What to do? Family is above eveything else and I have travelled all over India and watched over 30 matches of his.

Ayushmann Khurrana

I wish I could see the final match live in the stadium. But I’ll be shooting that day. So I’ll have to catch glimpses of his swan song on TV. The cricketing era should be named BT and AT...Before and After Tendulkar.

Lata Mangeshkar

Sachin playing for the last time...yeh kuch ajeeb lagta hai... I wish he hadn’t been pressurised into retirement. Sachin is the finest batsman ever and I am very fond of him even as a person. I wouldn’t miss his last match for anything in the world. If he must retire then let’s all make his final match a historic day in our calendar.

Sanjay Gupta
I will watch it with my friends and family in my home theatre. Though I am not fanatical about cricket this will be a very special event.

Anil Kapoor

Though I am shooting for 24 in Mumbai through the night I will definitely wake up in the morning and try and watch it in the daytime. I am a huge cricket lover and used to play cricket as a child.

Kabir Bedi
Sachin’s last match would be an unforgettable milestone in cricket history and in all our hearts. Sadly, I’d be 35,000 feet above ground when he  plays for the last time.

Pooja Bhatt
I stopped watching cricket when Hansie Cronje died. Sachin is a national hero. But he doesn’t concern my life.

Naseeruddin Shah

It is not important. It would have been if we were playing against South Africa.

Vindoo Dara Singh
I have sworn I won’t watch cricket. So sadly I wouldn’t even watch the greatest batsman’s last hurrah. I’ve followed his illustrious career since he played his first game. I will be shooting in Chandigarh when he plays he last game. But no, not even a sneaked peak at the television.

Sharman Joshi

I’ll be shooting. But glued to the television set as much as possible. I will enjoy and savour the Master’s last blast with a bit of a heavy heart. No doubt each and every moment would be special. Thank you, Mr Tendulkar, for enriching our lives with your genius and setting an example of how to be a modest human being inspite of such exceptional success.

Baba Azmi
Important day for cricket. I’d surely be watching it.

Sajid Khan

Unfortunately I won’t be able to watch this match as I will be in Dubai location-hunting.

David Dhawan

I am calling all my friends home on November 14 to watch the game with me. We’re making it into a celebration with good company and food , and a befitting send-off to a  genius.

Ronit Roy
I won’t be in the stadium, but I may watch him on television. I am not a big cricket fan. But I will miss Sachin on the field.

Poonam Pandey

I am going to make sure  I’ll be at Wankhede Stadium when Sachin plays for the last time. I am trying to figure out how to get the tickets ASAP.

Sonu Sood

I wish I could be at the stadium. But I’ll be shooting, so I’ll catch the game from the location. It’s a historic day for every Indian. Cricket will never be the same again.

Ramcharan Teja

I will be in Ooty. I’ll definitely watch the legend play till the last ball. It’s like the end of a golden era in cricket.
