Shahid Kapoor's 'Haider' nets Rs 36.45 crore at the box office

Despite enthralling performances by the lead cast- Shahid Kapoor, Tabu, Irrfan Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Kay Kay Menon, Haider seems to have performed steadily well. The film, which has already incurred its investment and is making profit now could have done way better had it not been pitted against Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif's Bang Bang.

After a steady Rs 35 crore first week collections, the film suffered a huge blow with collections dropping as low as Rs 1.35-1.45 crore on its second Friday. With that, the total collection for the film rests at Rs 36.45 crore.

Haider did manage to win quite a few hearts and is high on content. With no big releases this week, it would be another week of stable run for both Haider and Bang Bang. The film is expected to add in another Rs 6-7 crore over the second weekend but the Rs 50 crore mark definitely looks difficult.
