In another shocking turn of events, the sets of Padmavati in Kolhapur were viciously attacked by unidentified men and torched on Tuesday late night. Sanjay Leela Bhansali who was present on the sets returned unhurt but as many as 1000 costumes were burnt.

The whole incident happened in the wake of the attacks that stalled Padmavati shoot in Jaipur earlier this year. This is the second time the shoot of the period saga has been disrupted.

Sanjay has sent out a fresh statement through his spokesperson whereas lead actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh maintained stoic silence on the issue. But now, Shahid Kapoor decided to speak up and recently, at an event he addressed the issue.

He told reporters, "I am aware that there has been some disruption that has happened. I am aware that a certain amount of costumes got burnt. I am aware everybody is safe and nobody got harmed. The shooting has wrapped up and the team is coming back. What I am not aware of is who has done it. It is unfortunate that something like this has happened for the second time. As soon as there is some clarity, the production house will respond to it. No principal actors were there."
