With Udta Punjab being appreciated both by the audience and critics alike, celebrating his first anniversary with wife Mira Rajput and all set to embrace fatherhood, Shahid Kapoor couldn't possibly be in a merrier phase of his life.

In a recent interview with The Hindustan Times, the Shaandaar actor revealed that he could sense the difference that marriage has brought about in him. He further said that there's a time for everything, for fun as well as stability. "Short-term plans and a few days of flying around [for work] are fun, but eventually you need that [stability]. Also, I have been living alone since I was 22, so I always wanted that family atmosphere. I used to feel lonely," he said, reports HT.

When asked about the difference between living with your spouse and that with your family, Shahid said that things are different with parents. Shahid further added that earlier he didn't have anybody with whom he could share his achievements immediately. He said, "I would always think, 'Who do I share my happiness with?',” added the report.

Shahid further revealed that whenever he would land in any city, those around him would get messages asking whether they've reached or not and that made him think why does nobody ask him the same question. Reportedly, the actor is now glad that he gets those messages from Mira and is glad about it.

On the work front, Shahid will next be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj's Rangoon.
