Shah Rukh Khan's biggest release this year is definitely Happy New Year. The film which released on Friday has recorded maximum occupancies in the morning and afternoon shows and is expected to put a great show in its evening shows as well. All in all, Happy New Year has released over 5000 screens all over India, which makes it one of the biggest films in Bollywood.

The film has the entertainment value intact and is a nice watch this Diwali. Given it is a solo release this week, Happy New Year will cash in on the occasion and is expected to create newer records this year.

Aamir Khan had an earth shattering opening day with Dhoom 3 last year but trade verdicts report that the Farah Khan directorial starring SRK, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah in lead roles might just rake in over Rs 40 crores on its opening day, which in itself will be a record!

The advance bookings recorded were the highest for any film till date and with shows running housefull, the film is definitely having a bombastic start. If the film's content is loved by the audience, the film might as well end up raking in even more moolah since it has a clean run of two weeks before Akshay Kumar-Lisa Haydon starrer The Shaukeens hit the screens!
