Shah Rukh Khan's magnum opus Happy New Year released last Friday and ever since then, the cash registers are busy raking in huge moolah. Given that the film has received a U certificate and its content caters to the family audience, the film has been performing consistently well throughout.

Although the first day collections were humongous, the second and third day dropped a bit. But the film did face a huge drop on Monday and Tuesday where it earned in the range of 13-15 crore. After a decent five day span, the film stands at a total of Rs 136.86 crore at the box office. With that, the film has overtaken Salman Khan's Kick which had collected around Rs 126.70 crore after five days.

Also the collections are the second highest for any Bollywood film. Previously Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3 had collected around Rs 150 crore after five days. The weekdays had been decent for Dhoom 3 whereas HNY saw a huge drop in the weekdays.

Going by the trend, the film will definitely enter the Rs 200 crore club soon, unless its growth is further deterred by any thing. But whether SRK's Happy New Year will pass Salman's Kick in lifetime business is still to be seen.
