Shah Rukh Khan's 'Happy New Year' is four minutes shorter after Censor certification

Last week after Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year was sent for censor certification, it was reported that the film is 188 minutes long. Now it is learnt that that the grand Diwali release has been passed by the Censor board and is 3 hours and 4 minutes long. 

After the cut, the run time of Happy New Year now is 184 minutes, which makes it one of the longest films in the recent times. It is this year's longest film. Last year, it was Farhan Akhtar's big biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag which was a 189 minutes long. This year's longest films so far were Akshay Kumar's Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty which was around 2 hours 50 minutes long and Hrithik Roshan's Bang Bang was a decent 2 hours 34 minutes. 

Shah Rukh's last two releases Chennai Express was 2 hours 21 minutes long and Yash Chopra's swansong Jab Tak Hai Jaan was 2 hours 56 minutes long.
