Shah Rukh Khan's 'Happy New Year' collects Rs 7.50 crore on second Saturday at box office

After netting in over Rs 150 crore in its first week, the pace of Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year has slowed down a bit in its second week at the box office. Collecting in the range of Rs 7-8 crore over the second weekend, Happy New Year's growth has been deterred in the coming weeks.

With expectations high from the film, HNY might score a little better on its second Sunday, being a holiday and a special day for Shah Rukh Khan fans. SRK celebrates his birthday today and fans are going to flock to the theatres to catch his latest Bolly outing. But on second Saturday, the film could only collect a mere Rs 7.50 crore taking its total to Rs 172 crore. 

The film will not be able to surpass Salman Khan's Kick collections, given the difference in its collections after a spa of 10 days. But if the Shah Rukh Khan starrer performs consistently well in its second week, it might just topple Kick
