Shah Rukh Khan's much anticipated film of 2015- Maneesh Sharma's Fan has been postponed. The film that was set to release on August 14 has now been pushed to a further release date. Instead it will be Karan Johar's Brothers starring Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez that will occupy the same space.

Taking everyone by a strange surprise on Friday was Karan Johar who tweeted about how Aditya Chopra graciously called him and asked him to move his film's release date to Fan's earlier release date prior to Independence Day. The YRF film starring SRK is now being pushed to a further release, possibly later this year.

On the other hand, Brothers which was all set for a July 31 release will now release two weeks later, in order to enjoy a nice holiday weekend. Fan is the story of a superstar and his lookalike fan and is said to be an 'intense' drama whereas Brothers is the official remake of Hollywood flick Warrior

As of now, no dates have been mentioned about the tentative release date for Fan but it seems the postponement of the Shah Rukh starrer has definitely benefitted KJo, Akki and the Brothers team.
