Shah Rukh Khan's avatar of an 'angry young man' has been gathering a lot of applauds by one and all post the release of his latest film Raees, in which he plays a benevolent bootlegger. One of the highlights of the movie, apart from the dialoguebaazi and the stellar performances by the leads, is the action in the film. From smashing glass bottles on head to beating down the rivals in a meat factory, the action sequences in Raees are refreshingly realistic.

But did you know that it wasn't easy for Shah Rukh to shoot for the action scenes in Raees owing to his knee injury? The actor had got very badly injured while the shooting for Fan was in process. So how did he shoot for the mind blowing action scenes in Raees?

During a media interaction before the release of the film, when quizzed if the action scenes were taxing for him, Shah Rukh explained, "It was difficult to do the rooftop chase. Normally I do the action in all my films like Fan,but in this film I've used a bit of a duplicate which I feel very bad about."

He adds, "But I couldn't help it because the set was already there,I had to finish it. So the long shots I did with the duplicate.  So that was a little painful."

When prodded about his injury while filming Fan, informed, "I got very badly injured during Fan. Injured means not while shooting it like that but my knee is a problem. So I need to do something about it, which I shall do in the next few days. It's a big injury so it gets all painful when I work. I think that's why the film (Raees) got delayed also."

Raees, opened in theatres on January 25 and has already raked in around Rs 46.50 crore in just 2 days of its release.
