Shaan to croon hero's entry in Ek Hasina Thi

After Sunidhi Chauhan, producer Siddharth Malhotra has roped in Shaan to sing a special number in his serial Ek Hasina Thi. It will be a love song filmed on Bhuvanesh Maan, who is being introduced as Durga/Nitya's (Sanjeeda Sheikh) romantic interest. Says Siddharth, who has written and composed the song Ab jaana sanam, "For love songs, Shaan's voice is bang-on. Also, he has done the entire track arrangement." The singer will be recording the song on Saturday and the episode will go on air sometime next week.

When asked what prompted him to go for an original song instead of using a popular Bollywood number as is the usual practice, Siddharth said that when he tried a similar experiment in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, it worked. "The song Tu hi tu sung by Raju Singh and picturised on Jeevika (Krystle Dsouza) and Viren (Karan Tacker) had become popular." No doubt, he is hoping Shaan's song will be a craze too!
