Shilpa Shinde, who has filed a sexual harassment complaint against Sanjay Kohli, the producer of popular TV show Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai, says anyone else in her position would have committed suicide. She spoke to HT Cafe after Kavita Kaushik slammed her for not speaking about the issue earlier.

Shilpa is quoted saying, "Jitne muh utni baatein. People feel I am doing all this for money or something else. Let me tell you, everyone has different experiences I had a lot of things going on and I am dealing with it in my own way. It is not easy to talk about such things. People advise you to keep quiet about it and then say why did you wait for so long? I want to tell her (Kavita) who said I am setting a bad example for other girls, who go through this, that she is right. I shouldn't have waited... I want to tell girls, 'Don't wait. Talk about it when it happens'. But I also understand why girls hesitate as it is not easy to talk about it."

We already told you how Shilpa is under pressure for out of court settlement. She had said,“I am not relishing the idea of attending unending court sessions. I am open to a proper closure. I was made to leave the show (Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai) when my character in the serial was a major scene stealer. Even today my catch line from the serial 'Sahi pakde hain' is used by people. They loved my character in Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain. But I wasn’t shown the respect I deserved by the producers.”
