Washington: Selena Gomez has increased the protection around her Calabasas mansion in California after an intruder was reportedly detained for trespassing for the second time.

The 21-year-old singer has now mounted a huge perimeter security gate around the house to safeguard herself from any potential future intruders, TMZ.com reported.

The 'Come And get It' hitmaker's 3 million mansion, which she purchased last month, is located within a gated community but anyone can just drive in, as no one mans the gate there supposedly.

Gomez has had issues with other intruders in the past too as Juan Garcia was recently sentenced for trespassing her house in Tarzana, California, while Thomas Brodnicki was ordered to stay away from her after constantly talking about killing her while under psychiatric hold in 2011.
