SCOOP: Mahira Khan's role in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees trimmed!

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan's role in the upcoming film Raees has been cut short, reports a tabloid. The actress was in India last February to shoot for the film with Shah Rukh Khan in Bhuj and later in Mumbai before she went back to Pakistan. She was to shoot some opening sequences and a song with SRK, but after the Uri attacks on September 18 and the ban on Pakistani artistes, this doesn't seem likely.

A source is quoted saying, "While Mahira plays SRK's love interest, it is not a romantic film. The film revolves around the conflict between Shah Rukh who plays a bootlegger and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who plays a cop. So, it wasn't difficult to trim her role."

The trailer of the film releases this December 7. The film will release worldwide on January 26, 2017.
