Sources say that Saraswatichandra that has been facing problems since it began will finally bid adieu on May 30. Earlier produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the serial changed hands mid-way due to production issues. Sanjay Wadhwa took over and the ratings of the show based on a novel by Govindram Triapthi had improved. However, the serial deviated from the book and Saras (Gautam Rode) and Kumud (Jennifer Winget) are shown to be married in the show. In the novel they are never united! Well, that's the creative liberty taken by the makers. The serial will soon start airing the Saras-Kumud honeymoon track shot in London.

However, sources say that production issues have cropped up again and actors are not being co-operative. "Jennifer has been throwing tantrums. She shoots only for certain hours and refuses to shoot on specific days. Also, she plans her leave and just informs the producer, which is a problem because others have to adjust accordingly. Since she is the protagonist it's becoming difficult," says a source. However, Gautam denied it completely. "As far as I know it is not going off air. It's the slot leader and we even shot in London. Why would a show that is going off air go abroad for a shoot?" he questions. The source on the other hand says that the channel has several new shows waiting for a slot, and because of the problem between producer and actors, it will be axed making way for a new serial, which is yet to be decided.
