The overwhelmingly green tinge of Sanjay Gupta’s Jazbaa hasn’t gone down well with a section of critics and the public. And as a response to the adverse comments, Sanjay will revise the colour scheme of the trailer and the corrected version goes up this week across platforms.

Says the director, “The version you saw is meant for theatres. On the large screen, the green colour that otherwise seems overpowering on the television computer and mobile screen, will spread itself out. On the smaller screen, we did not anticipate the colour’s impact. We’ve corrected it now. A new version of the trailer will go on air this week.”

Gupta reveals that the sound quality of the film has also been suitably altered for the smaller screen. “My sound recordist has worked on a different sound quality for the trailer of Jazbaa. In the theatres, the sound mixing would be done to accommodate the Digital Dolby and Dolby Atmos sound facility. But on the computer, television and mobile screen the sound has to be far less enhanced and much more intimate.”

Nevertheless, Gups defends his film’s hue and personality. “Every film of mine has a distinctive sound, look, flavour, colour and personality. In Jazbaa, we’ve gone for a particular look and sound. The film’s technique would make itself apparent when the film releases. Why are people jumping the gun on the basis of the trailer?”
