Even as the entertainment circuit is abuzz with reports of Sana Khan's disappearance affecting the shooting of Salman Khan's Mental, producer-director Sohail Khan has clarified that the actress is not required for the film's current schedule.
Media reports have quoted Sohal as saying, "I read about Sana just as you did. I am clueless about what's happened to her. But I am not required to shoot with her for a month. By then I hope her problems are sorted out and her life returns to normal."
A source said, "There is no question of her absence affecting the shooting. Because firstly she doesn't have a major part. The female leads are played by Tabu and Daisy Shah. Salman Khan had made an implicit promise to cast her, and he did. And unless absolutely necessary, Salman and Sohail won't replace her. But if they have to, it's no big deal because she has hardly shot for the film. And secondly she isn't part of the current schedule. So where's the question of the shooting being affected?"
Best known for her appearance in an Amul macho ad, the 25-year-old model-turned-actress, is wanted by police in a case involving the abduction of a teenager for rejecting her cousin's marriage proposal.
