Salman Khan's promotional strategies for 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' revealed!

Salman Khan's last release Kick had created ripples at the box office, becoming Salman's biggest blockbuster till date. But now that he will take on a more nuanced and subtle role in Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, revisiting his iconic character of Prem, the makers have planned an extensive promotional schedule for the film. 

Given that PRDP stars the fresh pair of Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor, anticipations are bound to rise. Plus, Salman's double role in the film, one that he's taken up years after Judwaa, will definitely garner more interest. The makers are planning to resume shooting for the film in February and finish the shoots latest by April. Once that is done, the film will enjoy a three month period to get their film cleared by the Censor Board.

Like usual Rajshri films, this is expected to be a family drama, hence a 'U' certificate is almost guaranteed for the film. There may not be any major censor cuts required at all but what is important is to get the final cut of the film ready for censorship in time. 

The trailer of the film will hit screens in August next year and the team has planned to open the film's advance bookings three months prior to its release, which is the first of its kind attempt in Bollywood. 

Stakes are definitely higher with the Rajshri and Salman association back on screen next year and the other factors might just add on to the film's credibility. The film is scheduled for a Diwali release next year.
