Salman Khan finally breaks silence on the 'Freaky Ali' - 'Baar Baar Dekho' clash

Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif starrer Baar Baar Dekho announced their release months back. The rom-com which has time travel as the backdrop will hit screens on Bakra Eid this year, on September 9. Now, Sohail Khan Productions has also decided to release their next project Freaky Ali on the same day. 

Freaky Ali's trailer launched happened on Sunday evening amidst much fanfare. And Salman Khan was present to launch the theatrical promo as he's the presenter of the film. The film revolves around Nawazuddin Siddiqui's journey from being the local goon passionate about cricket to become the game changer in a rich man's sport. 

Now, the two films are clashing at the box office. And when quizzed about the same, Sohail explained, "There are many films releasing in a year. And I think there's a window for two films to release together. There are enough screens to accommodate both the films."

But Salman completely rubbished the idea of a clash. "Please don't call it a clash just to make it news. We don't consider it a clash. They are friends. Katrina is a friend. Farhan is my buddy brother, he is Javed saab's son. It's all within our friends' circle. We want their film to work and we want our film to work as well. People will watch both the films, I am sure. The only difference is some people will watch their film first ad some will watch our film first."
