Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan seems to have taken the box office by a storm. After collecting around Rs 129.65 crore in the first four days of its release, the film performed consistently well in mass centres and raked in huge moolah on its first Tuesday as well.

The film opened around the Rs 27 crore mark on Friday but it grew with exceptional word of mouth over the coming days. With Saturday and Sunday witnessing great footfalls, a Rs 35+ crore collection was ensured on both days. As a result the film collected Rs 102 crore in its opening weekend.

But the momentum didn't stop there. Unlike most other Salman Khan films, BB passed the vital acid test on Monday by collecting in Rs 27.05 crore, which is at par with its opening day collections. The film has also grown leaps and bounds and expected a huge occupancy on Tuesday as well. Bajrangi Bhaijaan was house full in most mass centres and netted in around Rs 21.40 crore on Tuesday.

With that, the total 5 day collection of the film stands at a whopping Rs 151.05 crore which means Salman has now overtaken Aamir Khan's previous record with Dhoom 3. D:3 which released on Christmas two years back had collected Rs 149 crore in its first five days. Bajrangi Bhaijaan has managed to beat that and how! Now all that we need to see is whether the Wednesday and Thursday collections help the film to go past Aamir's Dhoom 3 and PK opening week record as well.
