Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are above their characters or films: Arjun Kapoor

Arjun Kapoor might be busy sporting his Tevarrific manoeuvres and antics, but at heart he is still the same Salman Khan fan that he always was. Not just that, he has even paid tribute to his favourite superstar in the 'Superman' number from Tevar.

But given that Tevar falls in the genre that Salman usually is the undisputable king of, we asked Arjun of the possible comparisons that would arise out of it. 

"Salman Khan is way above his films or characters. People come to the movie theatre to watch him and his crazy antics. He has his trademark charm which presides over the film's content or the characterisation. Even if some of his films are not loved by the audience, people would still come out and say, 'Salman bohut accha tha yaar'. Same happens for Shah Rukh Khan. The moment SRK does a romantic film and spreads his arms, it's all over for everybody else", he explains

"So there are few actors who are above their work and their films. Nobody can create the amount of hysteria which Salman or Shah Rukh can produce even today. While people go to watch their films to watch them, people watch our films to see the character we play on screen and not us. We haven't reached that stage yet", he confessed.

Not just that, but when we asked who could possible be the next SRK or Salman, Arjun immediately retorted back, "No one can ever be Salman or Shah Rukh. they cannot be touched. They are in a different league altogether. It is very difficult for any of us to reach where they have reached".
