It won't be wrong to say that Baahubali 2 has been the most anticipated film of this year. Forget year, the craze, the mass hysteria and the euphoria surrounding the SS Rajamouli has not been witnessed in years.

All said and done, it's a given that Baahubali 2 will have a historic opening at the box office. And it should, given the way it has changed the perception of Indian cinema on a global level. The makers have invested crazy amount of money in pulling the film off.

But a day before the film's release, when the advance bookings are open, something startling has come up. We are shocked at the difference in ticket prices between States in India for the film.

For a show in Bangalore or Chennai, because of the ticket prices capping, the cost of one ticket is maximum Rs 200 and an additional Rs 70-100 for soft drinks and popcorn. But in cities like Delhi, the tickets of Baahubali 2 are being sold at exorbitant prices of Rs 2000.  It's not even a joke. PVR, Delhi has put out ticket prices (regular 1800 and platinum class 2000) for several outlets.

We wonder if the exhibitors are using the craze to their advantage or is it the producers' plan to rake in quick money? Whichever way, the common man is the biggest sufferer.
