Ever since Boney Kapoor's Wanted released, Salman Khan has been unstoppable. With minor warts in the form of London Dreams and Veer, Salman Khan shot back at his contemporaries with a record smashing Dabangg. Six blockbusters later, Salman is definitely the reigning king at the box office. While his movies are celebrated as festivals, the actor has become almost synonymous with Eid as most of his film that released during the festival has gone on to set cash registers burning.

But with all the stupendous success that the actor has been enjoying, his life has been mired in numerous controversies- one of the major ones being the 2002 hit and run case. After numerous hearings and trials, a date has finally been set for the verdict on the case. This May 6, the final verdict by the trial court on the hit and run case will be announced. While we are still unsure of which way the verdict might drift, almost Rs 1000 crore and as many as five films (which he's officially signed and pre-production is underway) are riding on the verdict. Here's a lowdown of the movies that might be affected by the verdict.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan:

Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan will be this year's Eid offering for Salman's fans but it seems the team has taken a little more time that to finish their schedules. Floods in Kashmir too added to the team's misery as it delayed shoots by over a week. Salman, also fell ill on the sets, with his nerve disorder relapse on the sets, putting the shoot on hold. Kabir, who is planning to wrap up the shoot by mid-May has decided to speed up the process. "The film's shoot will be complete by the second week of May and the team has already started speeding up the project to meet deadlines," informs a source. BB, being another mass entertainer releasing this Eid, the film is expected to do huge business at the box office. Will it cross PK's record? Let's see.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo:

Salman Khan's last film with Sooraj Barjtya was almost 15 years back. Almost one and half decade later, the director-actor are returning back together with our Bhaijaan reprising his lover-boy Prem avatar from all his Rajshri flicks. With a portion of the film left to be shot, the makers have also taken the Bajrangi route and has plans of wrapping the film soon. Slated for a November release, Salman's PRDP has already raised expectations and might turn out to be a house winner at the box office too and PRDP might well be Rajshri's chance to redeem themselves.

Shhudhhi:

If things go awry, then the film to be affected in the worst manner possible has to be Karan Johar's Shhuddhi. The film, which has already been delayed by more than a year now, after its initial cast- Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor- both decided to walk out of the project, will face the back-burner if the verdict swings the other way. Shhudhhi's got everything at stake on the May 6 verdict and it's evident.

Sultan:

Salman and YRF are uniting one more time- this time for Sultan. Playing a 40 year old biker in the film, Sultan is loaded with high octane action stunts and sequences which are the staple ingredients in any Salman Khan blockbuster. Their last outing Ek Tha Tiger almost touched the Rs 200 crore mark but with Sultan, the makers are expecting a huge box office score. But only if the verdict announces Salman safe.

No Entry Mein Entry:

Boney Kapoor had announced the sequel to his hugely successful No Entry long time back. Numerous rumours and conjectures about the cast has been doing rounds but with Salman's prior film commitments, Boney had to settle for a long breather before he could begin work on the sequel. Now that the film has already been signed, pre-production is also underway. But if Salman is convicted, Boney's plans, much like Karan's and Adi's will be going kaput. Another blockbuster might face the brunt of it all.

With almost Rs 1000 crore riding on the actor, prying eyes are awaiting the D-day when the trial court verdict will finally be announced. Till then, we can only keep waiting. Just that much.
