Jacqueline in a double role. Ranbir Kapoor in a dynamic role. Arjun Rampal in a suave role. That's Roy for you. Just that. After opening to negative reviews, with critics panning the film all over, Roy still made sure that audience kept pouring in to catch the film. With the highest ever opening in 2015, Roy enjoyed an even better occupancy on Saturday, thanks to Valentine's Day.

The Jacqueline-Ranbir-Arjun starrer collected around Rs 10.40 crore on its first day, breaking the previous record best by Akshay Kumar's Baby. While all the other films failed in their attempts to get the audience to the theatres, it was only Baby that made its way closer to the Rs 100 crore mark. Now with Roy ensuring greater occupancy over the weekend, it's all set to have a great opening week of over Rs 30 crore at the box office.

The film saw a great jump on its second day and people flocked theatres to catch the film, courtesy Valentine's Day and hence, Roy recorded a collection of about Rs 11.16 crore on its second day. With that the total collections of the film has raced up to a good Rs 21.56 crore and is expected to bring home a better figure on Sunday, unless it gets hit by the India-Pakistan match bug.

People will be more interested in watching the India-Pakistan face off at the World Cup and that might hit the film collections adversely as it will reduce the amount considerably. Yet, the film looks to zoom into the profit zone right in the opening weekend itself. Now all that needs to be seen is how the film fares in the coming weekdays.
