Roshni Chopra to launch her fashion label

After Mandira Bedi another TV actress Roshni Chopra is all set to launch her fashion line. The first offering from her label will be Yogini. Roshni who is gearing up to launch her label on August 27 says, "It is super hectic and exciting. I have called my inaugural clothesline Yogini because the whole idea was conceived in the yoga class that I have been going to for the last one-and-a-half year after delivering my baby."

The collection will comprise among other things, dhoti pants teamed up with tees. Says Roshni, "Borrowing slightly from traditional Indian textiles, I have contemporarised it. Dhoti pants paired with T-shirts, can be worn not only for traditional events but also to a mall or a movie. I have used Kalamkari and added something new to it like zardozi and neon stones to give it a pop look. The fashion forecast for 2015 is artisanal with a lot of craft work and I have incorporated that." Roshni, who is currently hosting a cricket-based show and also makes cameo appearances in Comedy Nights With Kapil, was inclined toward designing since she entered TV a decade ago.

"I was the one who set-up the first Blenders Pride Fashion tour," she says proudly. But she was roped in by Charu Sharma for a cricket based show Fourth Empire. She catapulted to fame as Pia in Kasam Seh and has since hosted and acted in several serials. "TV left me no time to pursue designing but when I took a break for my pregnancy I started thinking about it and here I am," she smiles.
