Oscar-winner Robert Zemeckis may helm the long-delayed Flash movie for DC and Warner Bros.

According to a website, Screen Junkies, the 64-year-old Oscar-winning filmmaker is in the early talks to direct the film.

Rick Famuyiwa was previously attached to helm the project. He replaced Seth Grahame-Smith but eventually dropped out as his vision "clashed with the studio's take." Ezra Miller will play the lead role in the film.

Zemeckis last directed romantic thriller "Allied", which starred Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard.
