Rihanna has been crowned best pop star performance for Battleship in the first Empire Cinema Alternative Movie Awards.

The American military science fiction war film, also starring Liam Neeson, was Rihanna’s first big part and featured the 25-year-old singer running around shooting aliens, the Daily Express reported.

Meanwhile, Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 won awards for best on-screen couple for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, best on-screen kiss, best film villain, best fight scene and best male body.
