Ricky Martin has split from his longtime partner Carlos Gonzalez Abella.

The pair, who had welcomed twin boys via a surrogate mother in August 2008, has split after dating for 5 years, Us Magazine reported.

Martin’s spokesperson has confirmed the news that the ‘Maria’ hitmaker and Abella have mutually agreed to end their relationship but continue to be united by friendship and their shared experiences.
