Neeraj Ghaywan's Masaan has won the FIPRESCI, The International Critics Prize, in Un Certain Regar section at the Cannes Film Festival.
Masaan (Fly Away Solo) stars Richa Chadda, Sanjay Mishra, Vicky Kaushal among others. The film was treated to a five-minute long standing ovation at the Cannes International Festival when it premiered in the Un Certain Regard section of the prestigious annual movie gala.

The film is an Indo-French co-production produced by Manish Mundra, Macassar Productions, Phantom Films, Sikhya Entertainment, Arte France Cinema and Pathe productions.

"I was always curious about what a man, who encounters death in his day-to-day life, thinks about mortality. That's where the idea for 'Masaan' came," Ghaywan had told PTI before his trip to Cannes.
