Snehitaru looks more like a platform that producer Soundarya Jagdeesh has used to reintroduce his son and child actor, Snehit. If you are planning to miss the film, you are not missing much!

Film: Snehitaru (Kannada)
Director: Ramnarayan
Cast: Vijay Raghavendra, Srujan Lokesh, Ravishankar, Tarun, Pranitha
Score: **1/2

Four friends are out to solve the mystery surrounding the kidnap of a young boy... what are we talking about? Well, director Ramnarayan’s Kannada directorial Snehitaru starring Vijay Raghavendra, Srujan Lokesh, Ravishankar, Tarun and Snehit.

The film revolves around how four friends staying in a police officer’s house finally get to do something else apart from the not so great comedy when the officer’s son gets kidnapped. They immediately set out to look for the young kid but soon realise that they are headed in the wrong direction. Is it too late though?

If you are an avid watcher of Kannada films and in particular someone who has watched and enjoyed Mast Maja Madi, it won’t take you too long before you figure out what these snehitaru are up to.

While in Mast Maja Madi, it was Sudeep who played the role of a police officer, this time, Darshan has been roped in to play the role. He comes in the beginning of the film and in the climax, where he packs a few punches.

Nikhita also makes a special appearance. Pranita who is the leading lady has very little to do but pose like a glam doll. When it comes to comedy, Ravishankar is the best out of the lot. Sadly the film does not do anything much to utilise the actor in Vijay Raghavendra. Songs are also not something that linger on. At the end of it,

Snehitaru looks more like a platform that producer Soundarya Jagdeesh has used to reintroduce his son and child actor, Snehit. So if you are planning to give the film a miss, all we’ll say is that you are not missing much!
