REVEALED: Why was Ranbir Kapoor asking people for money in Morocco!

Call it method acting or some fun while working, here’s one experience on the sets of Jagga Jasoos that Ranbir Kapoor may never forget. There’s a song in the film in which the cast start dancing on the streets. 

Apparently, before shooting, as a part of the recce, director Anurag Basu and his assistants went on the streets of Morocco and began dancing, perhaps to see if it led to any chaos or crowd gathering. To the filmmaker and his assistants’ surprise, crowds instantly gathered around them to watch them perform.

That’s not all - in the song Ranbir also had to go ask for money from strangers. So, on the day of the shoot, the director made his actor do it for real. 

Basu confirms the story, “Yes, it’s true that I had asked Ranbir to hold a cap and ask around for money for the song, and people did start putting money in it. Can you believe it Ranbir collected 250-300 Morocco Dirhams! So in the song, Ranbir is genuinely collecting money while dancing from real people!”
