After much speculation, it has been confirmed that Indian Cricket Team captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma are all set to tie the knot in Italy. Now as the world awaits Virushka’s marriage being solemnized, it is learnt that a heritage property within a resort in Tuscany has been finalized as the venue for the grand event.
As per a report in Hindustan Times, the heritage property is being decked up for the grand event, which is likely to take place next week. Moreover, a security cordon is put around the resort and guests will only be allowed with invitation.
The report also suggested that it will be a typical Punjabi wedding for Virat and Anushka and arrangements for the same are reportedly being made by the wedding planner. Professional bhangra dancers were also spotted at the venue and beats of drums and dhol-nagare were heard, suggesting that the celebrations have already begun. The wedding will apparently take place during the day with a party to be thrown in the evening. Though there is no official confirmation yet, several reports are doing the rounds suggesting that the wedding will take place on December 15 and not on December 12 as reported earlier.
Meanwhile, Virat will reportedly host a grand reception in Mumbai on December 26, two days after the third Twenty20 tie between India and Sri Lanka is played in the same city. Bollywood personalities, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials, cricketers and top politicians are expected to join the fabled couples in their celebrations. The Indian team is due to leave for South Africa on December 27 with the first test starting in Cape Town on January 5.
Both Virat and Anushka left for Italy with their families on Thursday and Friday respectively, fuelling the rumours that a wedding is indeed taking place.
