Doctor Who is returning to small screens for the Christmas special and this time he is crossing the pond to visit the Big Apple to solve the mystery of a figure called The Ghost.
BBC America released a new image for Doctor Who Christmas Special as they announced the name of the episode— The Return of Doctor Mysterio.
The episode will see the Doctor reunite with Nardole, played by Matt Lucas. The duo will be joined by an investigative reporter and The Ghost to figure out what the motive of the brain-swapping aliens is and save Manhattan from an attack.

So, like superheroes, the Doctor too has been bitten by the save-New-York-City bug!
Earlier in November, BBC One released a sneak peek into the episode for BBC's Children In Need programme.
The episode is written by Steven Moffat. Peter Capaldi is still our Doctor and he will be joined by Justin Chatwin of Shameless and Charity Wakefield of Wolf Hall for this special episode set to release on Christmas Day in UK and US.
The new season of Doctor Who will return sometime in April with the new season of spin-off series Class.
