Karthi and Aditi Hydari Rao look so in love in first poster of Mani Ratnam's 'Kaatru Veliyidai'

The first look of Mani Ratnam's next film Kaatru Veliyidai is out. The film will star Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles.

The film's poster indicates it's a romance drama, a genre that is a strong suit of the director.

The film's music is being scored by AR Rahman  with lyrics by Vairamuthu. The cinematography is by Ravi Varman and art direction by Sharmishta Roy.

Aditi made her debut in Tamil with the film Srirangam. The actress had previously tweeted about working on her Tamil for Kaatru Veliyidai. Sai Pallavi had been roped in for this earlier before being replaced by Aditi.

The film will begin shoot on July 8 and will be shot in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam simultaneously. The film is being produced by Ratnam under his banner Madras Talkies.
