As we know, the Telugu remake of the Malayalam superhit film Premam, which is tentatively titled as Majnu, is being directed by Chandoo Mondeti. And three glamorous actresses Anupama Parameshwaran, Shruti Haasan and Rakul Preet Singh will share screen space with Naga Chaitanya.

While Anupama Parameshwaran will play the same role in the Telugu remake, Shruti Haasan will play Sai Pallavi’s role and Rakul Preet Singh will play Madonna Sebastian’s part.

The buzz is that Naga Chaitanya has approached his father Nagarjuna for a small role in this film. Looks like Nagarjuna accepted immediately and he will be seen as Chaitanya’s father in this film. Originally, Renji Panicker played the role of the hero’s father as David Kalapparambath in the Malayalam film. With Chaitanya’s uncle, actor Venkatesh Daggubati, also in the film, this will be a treat for the fans and audience.

According to sources, writer Gopi Mohan is busy working on this film’s script work to transform the Kerala nativity into Telugu nativity. There will be a few changes and scene replacements in the film’s first half. Director Chandoo Mondeti is apparently looking to rope in Bramhanandam for an additional comedy sequence. Vennala Kishore will play the role of Java sir. The shooting of Majnu may commence from next year.
